Who we are
ProjectK Pub is 3-man team of editors. We started as readers, some of us became writers, and now we want to fix what we see as wrong with Publishing.
Based out of Toronto, Canada. We have English-speaking clients across the world; no matter what you’re working on or whatever stage you’re at, we can’t wait to hear from you about your project.
At this time, we only offer editing services. Our plan is to build solid relationships with promising authors in the self-publishing world, from there we will expand into the expected services of a publishing house.
You shouldn’t be priced out of a quality manuscript, and we want to make that happen for you.
Matthew - Developmental Editor
Starting in 2021, Matthew finally turned his love of books into a love for writing. He wrote and self-published his first book. Entirely written and self-edited, it was ranked 1,500 at its peak for all books on the Amazon store and is currently ranked 700 in the Science Fiction category.
With his educational background in Business, Matthew learned everything from his fellow writers and online resources. Honing his craft, he joined several writing groups and online communities.
Off the back of the positive feedback he’d received for years, he struck out on his own and started offering freelance services.
Aware of his own limitations, Matthew knew he needed to bring on detail-orientated editors to help. That was when he reached out to Margaret and Ryan, two editors he worked with in the past to form PKP.
The PKP Team
Margaret - Senior Editor (Copy Editing and Proofreading)
Margaret is our Senior Editor, focusing on copy-editing and Proofreading.
Like Matthew, her education was elsewhere. Holding a Bachelors of Applied Sciences and Chemical Engineering (P. Eng) from University of Waterloo; the twists and turns of life brought her to publishing.
To reduce conflicts and confusion with established connections, she’s asked to stay anonymous at this time.
Ryan - Junior Editor (Line Editing)
Since 2022, Ryan has been a freelance editor with experience in technical documents, non-fiction, and fiction manuscripts.
Before joining PKP, Ryan has spent several years collaborating with Margaret on several manuscript projects. Their teamwork and coordination is what allows PKP to work with such efficiency and speed.
Like Margaret, Ryan has asked to stay anonymous at this time to reduce conflicts and confusion with established connections.
