A.M. was an absolute pleasure to work with!
As the conclusion for his planned trilogy we understood the importance of sticking the landing. Afterall, the last few pages or in the case of a trilogy, it’s often the last book that readers remember. But there were challenges. A.M. clearly spent a significant amount of time building out his world and the result of that was a wide cast of characters that had gone through significant developments in earlier books we didn’t get a chance to read.
With our in-manuscript edits and developmental edit suggestions; we revamped his plot lines, ensuring a solid setup, progression, and payoff for his most impactful plots. We also chose a few characters that were the focus of his story and really peeled back the layers, we got to the core of each character and proposed edits throughout to bolster their arc and support an emotionally powerful conclusion for each.
